A work in progress. "Little Arkansas in Fall" is the fourth and last in the series of paintings I have been doing which show the four seasons of the Little Arkansas River which is next to my studio. It is oil on PVC panel like the others. At this stage I am still working on underpainting and some compositional elements.

I really like it so far. It has a dramatic flow, yet is soothing. It appears windswept, which is a good depiction of a Kansas landscape on the river.
